MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE OF THE DAY

“Most of the stress people experience comes from inappropriately managed commitments they make or accept.”

— David Allen: Nightingale-Conant author & productivity consultant

*******Wow!  I really needed to read this quote today.  I’m feeling extremely stressed out right now and it’s because I’m having a hard time managing an extra commitment I agreed to take on.  In the beginning, I just took on the responsibility based on what was presented to me.  It turned out to be a multi-faceted responsibility.  I didn’t ask many questions because it appeared to be simple.  Additional tasks were added daily and before I knew it, I became the only person relied on to handle it when multiple people were supposed to help.  Have I learned my lesson?  Yes.  I accept and am thankful for learning this lesson.  I will handle it and move on.*******
