Motivational Quote Of The Day – 26 Nov 2011 – It’s All Up To You!

“Life is what you make it.  Always has been, always will be.”

    Eleanor Roosevelt

*******I used to fear the life I would live as I aged.  I really believed life would always be rough and I would never have happiness or accomplish any goals.  I just existed each day expecting it to remain the same.  But lo and behold, I have accomplished so much this year that it is actually mind-boggling how I got to this point.  I buckled down and told myself I alone have the power to create my future.  What an ego boost that is!  I am actually in control of my life and ultimately responsible for how it turns out.

The past is the past and the future is…well that’s up to me.*******

Motivational Quote of the Day – 23 Nov 2011 – A Better Future?

“The past does not equal the future.”

    Anthony Robbins

*******It’s very easy to get caught up in a ‘woe is me’ mentality and assume because past experiences were bad or difficult to handle, the future will be an exact replica.  It used to be hard for me to believe the future would be better, now I see it is indeed better than my past.  I’m actually looking forward to my future now because I know it will only get better with time.*******

Motivational Quote/Word/Song/Videos of the Day- 17 Sep 2008

    MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE OF THE DAY

“One day at a time- this is enough.  Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone: and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come.  Live in the present and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering.”  -Ida Scott Taylor 1820-1915, Author

PEARL JAM- PRESENT TENSE  *******”You can spend your time redigesting past regrets or you can come to terms and realize you’re the only who can forgive yourself.  It makes more sense to live in the present tense.”  Perfecto.  Mulling over past mistakes won’t help.  The how’s and why’s will always come to you in an “Aha!” moment when it’s time for you to either follow the lesson you’ve learned or teach it.  Mulling only results in depression, anger and insomnia.  There aren’t any “do-overs”, just do better.*******

    WORD OF THE DAY

    BESEECH

    (transitive verb)
    [bi-SEECH]

    1. to beg or implore somebody to do something; ‘I beseech you to think again’: “Ronald had slowly run out of options, so he decided it was time to swallow his pride and beseech his brother for assistance.”
    2. to ask for or request earnestly

    noun form: beseecher

    Origin:
Approximately 1175; from Middle English, ‘bisecen’: to beseech (‘be-‘ + ‘secen’: to seek).

    In action:
“All I have to say after yet another hurricane near-miss is: Come back, Rita! I beseech you, come back, and bring that round-the-clock TV coverage with you! Anything to save us from tonight’s prime-time lineup.”
Glenn Garvin. “Three wishes? For one, kill these shows: With premieres like these, you might want to make it a Blockbuster night.” [TV Review] The Miami Herald (September 23, 2005).

TLC- AIN’T 2 PROUD 2 BEG ’92 [OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO]  *******Remember TLC?  How could you forget them with all of their “controversial” messages?!  I loved TLC and was sad when it all came to an end.  It’s great to hear one of their songs pop up every now and then.  I watched the Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes documentary a few years ago and found out she predicted her own death.  Very strange, but very true.*******

    SONG OF THE DAY

CHARICE PEMPENGCO & CELINE DION- BECAUSE YOU LOVED ME  *******This girl has such a beautiful voice!  It’s not easy to carry the same notes as Celine and she does it!  Kudos chicka!*******
